New Forms of Slavery Around the World

As found in new reports from the United Nations and other governments, there are reports of women from the former Soviet Union being enslaved as prostitutes, Islamic Shara law placing women in less than independent statuses, and children soldiers in the war torn African Republics.  There are also reports from India, South America, and SE Asia in which farmers are trapped in remote areas by landlords.
